About Delilah
I fled Ireland in the days when it was the only sensible thing to do, and came back a few years ago, relieved to find the shopping options much improved. In between, I worked as a freelance writer in the UK, Asia, the US and France, produced two children, learned how to speak French and practise Ashtanga yoga. I also failed miserably at several other challenges, including a) becoming a jogger; b) writing a best-seller, c) changing the men I’ve lived with, and d) reaching my fantasy target weight of 8st 2lbs.
I made lots of friends in different places over the years, and learned that when it all comes down to it, it’s the few good women who count. And that’ll usually include at least one or two of the ones you started out with.
These days, I live in Dublin, with my two, so-far-manageable teenagers and our lovely but neurotic dog. The Internet-savvy teenagers would be appalled to think their mother had created her own site where she plans to say what she thinks and feels without worrying about the opinions of children, family and friends. But as teenagers know more than most, we all have our secrets. So here I am: I’m “Delilah” and you’re very welcome to delilah.ie.
